CopySafe Web was specially designed to protect images and as such it is the most secure copy protection solution imaginable. The image and other content displayed on the page is safe from all methods of saving up to and including Printscreen and all screen capture software.
The encrypted images stored on the web server are most secure even from your webmaster because they will be encrypted for domain lock which means that they cannot be used anywhere else except from your web site. If the encrypted image can be found in cache they cannot be used. The encrypted images that are displayed by the Windows plugin will not even be found in cache because the decryption process is wholly retained in memory.
The most secure environment is on Windows
The most secure copy protection environment is on Windows due to the CopySafe Runtime and the CopySafe Web plugin which activates it when needed. Within a corporate network you can have the most secure copy protected environment imaginable. Copysafe Web is supported on all Internet Explorer browsers since IE6 on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
For Windows users on the Internet Copysafe Web is supported in IE (as above) and in Chrome, Firefox 2+, Netscape 9+, Safari 5+ and Opera 9+ web browsers.
Enabling for Mac and Linux view
The same encrypted images can be viewed using Mac and Linux web browsers however it is not recommended because without the plugin interaction they will not be safe from screen capture. Mac users can use the Firefox and Safari web browser and Linux can use Firefox.
On Mac and Linux special Java security applets are used for displaying the encrypted image instead of using the ActiveX created by the plugin (Windows only).
Controlling platform and browser access
The client can nominate which platforms and which web browsers can access copy protected web pages in the settings of the detection script. If disallowed the visitor can be redirected to another page for an explanation.
